Finalmente la sección Paleontológica, que expone una colección de restos fósiles de las distintas especies de animales y formas de vida que habitaron en nuestro territorio.
The museum holds over 30,000 archeological pieces of which it exhibits in three excellent collections: archeology, ethnography, and paleontology. In the archeological section there is a diverse array of textiles, ceramics, urns, idols, mummies, axe heads belonging to Bolivia´s Precolumbian cultures. The Enthnographic section displays domestic and ritual objects and explains their uses in cultures from the Bolivian Amazon to the Chaco. This section also exhibits ancient texts and scriptures used in the 18th centry to convert Bolivia´s indigenous nations to Christianity. The Paleontology section hosts a fine collection of fossils from various animal species and other forms of life that inhabited Bolivia.
