Mission:
To assist indigenous communities develop their institutional, cultural and economic capacities and generate equal and inclusive opportunities in civil society and local government.

Objectives:
Achieve effective indigenous control over their local territory, reinforce cultural identity, improve sources and quantity of local incomes through the planning and management of sustainable resources, training of human resources, and strengthening local organizations.

The Foundation: 
The DELPIA Foundation is a non-profit organization. The DELPIA Foundation is a private legal entity founded in September of 2006.

Volunteer Capacity: 
2 volunteers in the Sanandita Community and at the office in Cochabamba at one time.

Volunteer Work Areas: 
Development and realisation of small projects in indigenous communities.

Requirements: 
- The volunteer should be able to communicate effectively in Spanish.
- The volunteer should be at least 20 years old.
- The volunteer must be a college/university student or professional.
- The minimum stay with DELPIA should be one month. 
- The volunteer should be motivated to work with DELPIA’s mission and objectives.
- The volunteer will work on their own micro-project and should prepare for this project before their arrival.
