The Cathedral’s Sacred Art Museum

The Cathedral Museum (El Museo de Arte Sagrado) is a treasure trove of history, art and truly impressive artifacts. The high quality silver objects date back the 17th and 18th centuries. The museum displays some of the oldest ecclesiastical jewelry in South America donated by the Catholic Church in 1603.  The museum is open for visits and is located in the central nave of the cathedral.
