Program

First day

At 08.30 in the morning we’ll leave for Cochabamba’s tropic: Villa Tunari 3 ½ hours and 160 km, a quiet trip to arrive at the Jungle Hotel El Puente, where we’ll have a nice lunch while enjoying the exuberant landscape that surrounds the hotel: the jungle. After lunch, we’ll leave for an interesting bird watching viewpoint, where we’ll be able to watch one of the most amazing birds of the mountain humid forest: the Andean cock of the rock (rupícola peruviana) that because of its beautiful colors and nuptial behavior, calls everyone’s attention. It’s possible to watch these birds in the morning and in the afternoon, in a 2 to 3- hour tour, in which you can watch a variety of orchids, ferns and other bird species. Return to the hotel to enjoy its spaces until dinner time.

Second day

After breakfast, we’ll leave for Machía Park. A place where varied and diverse wild animal species cohabit in harmony. In the park, monkeys, parrots, badgers and other species cohabit; it is a pleasant and nice experience for adults and children. Another park attraction is the topographic structure; from there you can enjoy a beautiful view of the tropical landscape and the buttresses of the oriental mountain range. Return to the hotel for lunch. After lunch, we’ll visit the guacharos with a guide in a tour that takes from 2 to 3 hours through a path in an intervened forest of Carrasco National Park, where we’ll have the chance to know the natural habitat (caves) of several bat species and the emblematic bird of Carrasco N.P.: the Guácharo (Steatorniscaripensis), a species with nocturnal habits that constitute the only nocturnal frugivore bird in the world. Besides we’ll receive information from our guides about the biological diversity that characterizes the Carrasco N.P.. After the visit to the guácharos, we’ll go back to the hotel for dinner.

Third day

After breakfast we’ll proceed to do an amazing activity: the canopy, a circuit that consists of a pulley suspended by assembled cables in a decline or inclination, what makes the person, who’s doing this activity, glide from the superior part to the inferior one, impelled by gravity.
