Located on the edge of the mighty sand dunes of the Lomas de Arena, Sol y Arena Resort provides you with exactly what its name would suggest:- sun and sand.
The oasis-like grounds are filled with palm trees and other lush tropical vegetation, providing a striking contrast against the white backdrop of the nearby sand dunes.
The resort offers Green Trail walks, quadbiking and sandboarding excursions into the Lomas de Arena and guests can easily stroll down to one of the natural lagoons that rest between the dunes for some sunbathing on this unusual type of beach. Alternatively, spectacular views of the dunes can be enjoyed from the swimming pool within the resort complex.
The resort features comfortable, airconditioned cottages with 2 bedrooms, a living room, dining room, private bathroom/s, TV and DVD player. A continental breakfast is also included.
There is also a games room with a kareoke bar and an on-site restaurant which serves a family buffet every Sunday.
Sol y Arena Resort is located just 25 minutes away from Santa Cruz city in the Lomas de Arena Regional Park, a large expanse of sand dunes and lagoons situated in the middle of the tropical surrounds of the Santa Cruz department. The resort is also surrounded by the beautiful flora and fauna of this unique ecosystem which is well-known for its abundant bird life.
